SUPPORT THE CAUSE
Snow Hill BES Project
One of our initial projects revolves around the Black Eyed Susan, a Stern Wheel river boat that is currently owned by the Town of Snow Hill and is at risk of deteriorating into scrap. Our goal is to raise the funds to work with the town to pull the boat out of the water, work with local volunteers and experts to rehabilitate this representation of historic area river travel and operate it as an educational and economic draw for the area as well as exploring modern environmentally friendly propulsion methods.
In unison, we are also working on preserving and refurbishing local rail lines formally used for freight to provide educational travel as well as an economic draw for the local economy.
With success of this initial project, we can expand this pilot into surrounding locations as well as national projects to restore and preserve legacy transportation and the surrounding environments for generations to come.
